As promised I will tell you of the secret presentation from tonight. Ernest Adams, known to all as Tat, has received an award for his services to the community, we gave him freedom of the town.
He has never missed a remembrance day service in over 65 years, he lost 4 members of his family in the great wars and served himself in both. As the vice chairman of the local Royal British Legion he is one of the few people to receive a gold medal and bars for 60 years continuous service.
Tat, who has been married to his wife Margaret for 68 years was founder of the local branch of the Royal Naval Association and is a past president of the local Rotary Club, where he organised nights out for the elderly, helped with various schemes for young people and provided transport for people with physical disabilities.
He is a true star and it was an honour to meet this great man and present him with this truly deserved award.
In other council news, the police turned up to our meeting (which we have been wanting for ages) I invited them and they came so not really sure if they have ever been invited before, hopefully we will see a much clearer link between the council and the police now.
One of our councilors tried to get us to spend money on some Mayoral robes, but I soon put a stop to that, the other councils in our area are not 'working councils' we are and so the budget for the Mayoral duties is a lot higher in other areas than in ours. We spend our money on the betterment of the town.
In family news, today the children have been off school for teacher training and as such have been doing my head in with the arguing and bickering between themselves, Kerry bless her really wanted to help me out today and so came to see me to ask if she could switch the dishwasher on saying 'I've already put all the pots in can I switch it on now?' Bless her little heart.
Anyway signing off for the night speak to you all soon
P.S The girls loved the muffins and they have now all gone.
This blog tells you what I have been getting up to, what things I have made and done. There are many step by step guides in how to do what I do with pictures to help along the way. I hope you can create along with me and post your comments for me to read.

Life Fun and Baking
Wow did not realise it has been so long since I updated this, where has the time gone??
Well what lovely weather we have been having not lol. Friday was Jessica's sports day at school. They don't do proper sports day anymore wonder why? They say that it is to protect those that aren't very good at sports, yet they give out certificates for those who do well with their reading, writing and maths tests. So those who are great at sport but not great at academia don't get any recognition so unfair. I used to love racing against my friends I loved the thrill of the win and looking back still enjoyed it when I didn't win. They should bring back the proper sports day!! A bit of competition never hurt anyone and if they want to they can big up the academic stuff more.
I wish there was a way to turn this vid the right way round :(
On the way home from school we all splashed in the puddles. I think everyone that saw us thought I was crazy. There I was kicking the puddle water at the kids and jumping up and down seeing who could make the biggest splash. The girls loved it! when we got home I had the towels waiting for them I gave them about a metre squared in which they could stand to get naked (everything was completely soaked through) my kitchen floor looked as though it had rained inside. When we took off our wellies we had to pour out a bucketful of water which they found absolutely hilarious. I really love it when I can give them these simple pleasures.
Saturday was as usual my catch up on cleaning day which I HATE!! Made good progress though and it does look good in here now. But of course very boring and so I won't go on about it. :)
Sunday was a good day too, went over to SIL for Sunday dinner, it was lush though the green beans weren't cooked properly. She is using the Pampered Chef rectangle baker that I gave her for her wedding gift, and the muffin pan that she bought at her mums show (which I did). The Yorkshire puddings were great she could never do them before she became Pampered Chefed lol.
This evening I was hungry and so I made myself some choc chip muffins in my stone muffin pan. I have got to say they were delicious and so I ate 3 (don't tell the kids lol)
The recipe for these is so simple:
Need
250 g self raising flour
140g caster sugar
150ml milk
120ml vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 large egg
200g chocolate chips
Method
preheat oven 200c/gas mark 6
put all ingredients into a bowl and mix it doesn't have to be smooth
divide the mixture into 12 muffin cases and bake for 20 mins until golden brown.
leave to cool them stuff ya face lol
see told you it was easy!
they turn out lush I am struggling to not eat muffin number four just typing this up lol.
Well that just about brings us up to date. I have a council meeting tomorrow with a surprise for a special member of our community which I will tell you all about tomorrow as right now I am sworn to secrecy.

Anyway to get back to the point Jessica was awesome at hoola hooping she got her entire body involved bless her I was laughing my head off at her she was wiggling from her head to her toes. Bless her lol.

Money, the bane of my life
Well what a day I have had. I have been trying to sort out my mums claim for ESA but my goodness they don't make it easy do they? After 3 months and a further hour on the phone then waiting for a call back then a further 1/2 hour on the phone (someone at the call centre I went through to collapsed and because the person I was talking to was the first aider he had to go deal with that) we are still no closer to getting it sorted I am getting very stressed with it all and that's not to mention how it's affecting my mum. But I will get there (hopefully soon).
I have managed to sort out her housing benefits and they will start to make payments now which is a huge weight lifted.
Mental health issues really do suck the life out of those around the person affected don't they? (Not to mention the person affected)
Well in other news Jessica has been a real madam today, I think it is mainly because she is over tired but wow can that girl scream lol I'm sure the neighbours thought she was being eaten alive or something. Hopefully tomorrow with and early night tonight will see a much better little girl.
Kerry has today started playing netball at school hoping to get into the school team. She had lots of fun and has asked if she can do it for ever so watch this space a future Olympian in the making (maybe) lol.
This section has been removed as it mentions my OH.
But during all this I have managed to catch up with my laundry, just got to iron it all now :(
talk to you all tomorrow hope your day went better. x

First time blog
Well hello and welcome to my blog. This is a first for me having jumped on the bandwagon a little late oops. Well here is a little about me, I am currently 29 years old, married and mother to three gorgeous girls, Kerry 8, Emily 6 in 2 weeks, and Jessica 4. I am also step mother to another gorgeous girl Jade 13. You will no doubt hear much about these characters (except my husband who has asked that all mention of him be removed)as we go along.
I am a member of my local town council and I am also an Independent Pampered Chef consultant. Both of which keep me quite busy as you can imagine.
I love to cook and bake so I will be putting up pics and recipes for you to have a look at. I also like to cross stitch which I don't do as much as I would like but maybe I will start to do a little more of it as I have some projects that I would like to do as gifts.
Now I have started with this I am hoping to update it everyday so will speak to you all soon x
